We prepare concrete substrates for any floor you want. Whether for polished concrete, microcement, epoxy coatings, vinyl, timber, tiles or carpets, we’ll get your floor foundation ready.
We will inspect your site and deal with every problem or requirement you may have, including:
- Sloped, uneven or cracked surfaces in need of levelling or filling
- Old vinyl, carpet and tile adhesives for removal

- Residuals from a strip-out or de-fit of old standing fixtures

Concrete Floor Preparation Services
Concrete Grinding
Our first preparation step is concrete grinding. We use diamond grinding blocks or hand grinders to remove the top layer of your existing concrete floor. This is the most efficient way of preparing for new floors, no matter what type of concrete surface you have.
Grinding is an essential step. It exposes a clean surface that’s easier to work with. We also eliminate imperfections, contaminants and other signs of wear and tear safely and effectively, without harmful chemicals.
This foundation becomes a reliable base that allows optimal adhesion of subsequent coatings or overlays.

Floor Levelling and Screed
Once the substrate is properly ground, we will do whatever is necessary to achieve a level surface. We do every kind of screed, from skim coats to full-blown sub-fill installations.
With a screed mixer pump, we can pneumatically convey sand, cement, screed, soil and any semi-dry material up to 30 stories high and 200m horizontally.
Rapid Cure Screed
We often recommend using an engineered rapid-cure cement screed. This is formulated to serve all types of floor finishes, aside from cement.
Our screed can applied as:
- Bonded screed – at a minimum of 15mm
- Unbonded or floating screeds (on polythene sheeting or thermal insulation.) – at a minimum of 35mm
- Underfloor heated screed (on top of heating pipes)
How rapid is curing?
- Ready to receive the final layer of cement, tiles, terrazzo, or stone after 8 hours
- Ready to receive resilient and textile floor coverings and parquet in 2 days
